Who we are

CAQA Bloom and Stem Florists, retail and event floristry

Bloom and Stem is a Melbourne floristry business that sells fresh flowers, plants and gifts through two retail shops, an online store with same-day delivery, and a dedicated events team that designs and installs floral work for weddings, corporate functions and public celebrations. The business buys direct from Victorian growers and from the wholesale flower market each morning, conditions every stem in its own cool rooms, and turns that stock into bouquets, arrangements, sympathy tributes and large scale installations. Customers range from walk-in shoppers buying a single bunch to corporate accounts that receive weekly foyer arrangements under contract.

The business runs from three sites. The Prahran flagship holds the main retail floor, a design studio and the online order desk. The Ringwood shop serves its local community and handles overflow production. The Cremorne workroom houses the events team, the largest cool store, the delivery vans and the props library. Trading hours are seven days at the shops, with an early buying run leaving for the wholesale market at four in the morning, three days a week. Staff work a rotating roster, and casual designers and drivers join the team for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the December wedding and corporate season.

Freshness first

Every stem is conditioned properly and sold within its vase life, and stock that is past its best is never sent to a customer.

Craft

Designers are trained in the principles of floristry design and take pride in mechanics, proportion and finish.

Care

Customers often come to the shop on their happiest and hardest days, and every interaction is handled with warmth and discretion.

Safe hands

Knives, wire, water, chemicals, ladders and vans are part of the job, and nobody is hurt doing it.
