Toolbox talk: cuts and thorn stripping
Following a finger cut in the workroom this week, every site will hold a ten minute toolbox talk on knife technique, thorn stripping and cut-resistant gloves before Friday. Gloves are now stocked at every bench. Please sign the attendance sheet and report every cut, however small, on the Incident and Hazard Report Form.

Freshness guarantee reminder
We had two freshness claims last week, both on roses that were not recut before use. Every stem that leaves the cool room for a product must be recut and placed in fresh water at the bench. Care cards must go with every order. Check the bucket date labels and use the oldest stock first. Ask Mei-Ling if you are unsure of any line.

Casual recruitment for the December peak
We are recruiting sixteen casual designers, drivers and shop assistants for November and December. If you know someone with floristry training or a clean driving record, ask them to apply through the careers page by 30 October. All casuals complete the safety induction and tool training before their first shift, as set out in the peak trading plan.

Citizenship ceremony install, 27 September
The events team will be at Bayview town hall from 6 am on Sunday 27 September installing the pedestal arrangements for the citizenship ceremony. Cremorne cool room 2 is reserved for that stock from Thursday 24 September. Please do not move labelled event buckets. Bump out is the same evening.

Prahran vase shelf out of action
The glass vase display shelf at Prahran collapsed overnight and the area is cordoned off until the maintenance contractor inspects and re-anchors the shelving. Do not restock that wall. Vases are available from the Cremorne store for orders. The incident is recorded as INC-26-038 and the Retail Manager owns the action.
