The situation

What has happened

Meridian Capital has accepted the quotation for its end of year client function on Friday 20 November 2026 on a Southbank rooftop (EV-26-091). The brief is contemporary and structured in deep greens and white: a bar installation, twenty cocktail table pieces and two entry statements. The rooftop is exposed to wind, has a service lift with a two metre height limit, and the venue allows bump in from 2 pm with guests arriving at 6 pm and bump out after midnight. You have a crew of four including an installer with a working at heights ticket. An arch became unstable in wind at a wedding earlier this month and the register shows the rigging method is under review. The Events Manager wants a complete plan at Wednesday's meeting.

Your brief. Produce a complete event plan: production schedule, stock order, crew roster, site risk assessment for wind and height, mechanics that suit the lift and the rooftop, a bump in and bump out timeline agreed with the venue, and the register updated to Confirmed with the plan attached.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Assess whether the mechanics genuinely respond to the wind and lift constraints, whether the risk assessment identifies realistic hazards and controls in hierarchy order, whether the crew roster respects fatigue limits and the working at heights requirement, and whether the schedule and stock order are complete and coordinated with the other departments. The register entries must be accurate and the plan presentable to a client.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
